We Are Pet Friendly
We love our four legged friends and have pet friendly cabins and rooms available if you are travelling with your pet. Please make sure to arrangements prior to your stay so we an accommodate you. You will be charged a one time fee of $35.00 per pet / per visit. We understand that pets are part of the family and enjoy a holiday as much as you do!. With this in mind, they do not want to be left alone or unattended where they may be tempted to bark, chew or mess. We ask that you please be responsible for your pet to avoid additional cleaning or repair charges from any unexpected surprises. Please leave a cell phone number or other contact number with our Rental Office if you must leave your pet alone in the cabin at any time. We rely on you to make respectful decisions regarding your dogs behavior. Even though your pet may may not bark at home their behavior can change in an unfamiliar environment and we do not wish to disturb any nearby guests. If your pet sheds please bring a blanket or sheets for him / her to use. We We have a dog walk with doo doo bags and container for your convenience. There are walking trails nearby for exercise as well as 2 dog parks located within a 5 minute drive. Please treat your pet just like you would at home. Owners are responsible for picking up after their pets and any accidental damages. We reserve the right to remove guests who abuse our pet-friendly policies.
Discounts & Specials
- 3rd Night FREE - Weekday Special - Arrive on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday and get your third night FREE - Valid for the month of April, October 15 - Dec 15 (excluding Thanksgiving where we offer 5th night FREE)
- 4th Night FREE- Valid April, May, October, November & December 1st to 15th - Not valid for Thanksgiving or Memorial Day holidays. For these holidays we offer the 5th night free.
- 7th Night FREE - Valid all year except during Christmas holidays
- Military Discount - We offer a 5% active military discount on stays of 2 nights or longer or 3rd night half price. This offer is not valid with any other discount or promotion or during holidays and special events when we have a minimum stay requirement. 3rd night 1/2 price not valid during June, July or August, but the 5% discount will be honored.

Policies
General
- Office Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Regular Check in Time is 2:00 PM. Please feel free to contact the office anytime after 10 AM and if the cabin is ready you may be able to check in early. (Fees may apply.) Holiday Check In Time is after 3 or 4 PM. This includes Spring Break, Summer and Christmas Holidays when we have an extreme turn-a-round schedule. It's possible you can get in earlier if cleaning schedules are light. We ask that you keep us updated with your anticipated arrival time so we can do our best to accommodate all arrivals.
- After Hours Arrivals: If you plan to arrive after regular business you will need to contact us prior to 4:00 PM on your date of arrival to make arrangements for a late arrival envelope and access code.
- Check Out Time is 11 AM. If you are having a good time or feel like sleeping in you may want to take advantage of our Late Check Out option. If your cabin/room is available you can stay up to 5 PM for an additional $50 (Please inquire upon arrival). Late Check outs can not be pre-booked and can only be confirmed the morning of your scheduled departure.
- Reservations are recommended: Holiday's, Special Event Weekends, Reunions and Multi cabin rentals may have a minimum stay requirement. See Holiday and Minimum Stay guideline below. All Guests are required to electronically acknowledge and agree to the Rental Agreement that will be e-mailed following your reservation request. This insures the accuracy regarding the details of your stay.
- Rates: Rates are listed per cabin per night. Cabins with cleaning fees, security deposits or accidental damage protection plans are a one time additional fee. An 8.18% state tax will be added to the total, plus a 5% lodging tax on your room rate only.
- Payment: We require a 1 night deposit at time of reservation. Reunions, Multi Cabin Rentals and stays of 7 or more nights require a 50% deposit. Accepted methods of Payment: Visa, M/C, Discover, American Express, Money Wire, or Cash. If you do not have a valid credit card we will accept a check or money order to be received within 5 days of booking and may require an additional damage deposit fee (refundable upon departure inspection.)
- Christmas Holiday Season rentals require a 50% non-refundable payment in the form of check or money wire to be received within 7 days of booking. The balance is due in full by December 1st. We will hold the reservation with a 1 night deposit on your credit card until the initial payment is received. If the deposit has not been received within 7 days, the reservation hold will be cancelled and you will forfeit your deposit.
Privacy
Your personal information is private: We will never share any of your personal information with a third party:
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing, promotional, or any other commercial purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
- No mailing/street address, phone numbers or email addresses will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing, promotional, or any other commercial purposes.
- Reservation Data Privacy: We prioritize the confidentiality of your reservation details. No reservation information will be shared with third parties unless it has been rendered completely anonymous, ensuring your privacy while enabling us to engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing guest experiences and service quality.
Cancellations
In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your reservation the following applies. We require 14 days cancellation notice for non holiday/event time frames. For Holidays, Special Events, Multi Cabin Rentals, Reunions and stays of 7 or more nights when we require 30 days notice. Cancellations made inside the cancellation time frame will be charged a minimum of 1 night & are subject to all other nights the cabin/room is not re-rented. Cancellations made prior to the cancellation time frame will be charged a $35 administration fee. There is No Refund for cancellations during the Christmas Holiday Season. No Refund for early check out. All Cancellations or changes to a reservation must be in writing, preferably by replying to the e-mail confirmation you received. There are NO exceptions to the above cancellation fees. If you prefer to avoid accountability for possible cancellation, we strongly encourage you to purchase trip insurance, either from your current insurance provider, or at Rental Guardian.
Smoking
All of our cabins and rooms are Non-Smoking (including all kinds of smoke) and we enforce a minimum $200.00 cleaning fee for any guests who do not follow this request and smoke inside. We endeavor to keep our cabins and rooms "smoke-free" and appreciate your cooperation. Our cabins have comfortable porches outside where you are asked to smoke. Please use our "Smoker Pot's to dispose of all cigarette buts so we can maintain our beautiful forest environment. We have benches in the yard for any smokers that are staying in the lodge.

Terms & Conditions
Introduction Welcome to Shadow Mountain Lodge and Cabins. These Terms and Conditions govern your stay at our properties, including Shadow Mountain Lodge, Upper Canyon Inn, and our riverfront cabins. By making a reservation, you agree to these terms, which form a legal agreement between you (the Guest) and Shadow Mountain Lodge and Cabins (the "Company").
- Reservations and Payments
- Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during holidays, special events, and for multi-cabin rentals, which may require a minimum stay.
- A deposit of one night's stay is required at the time of booking. For stays of 7 nights or more, or for multi-cabin rentals, a deposit of 50% of the total reservation cost is required.
- Accepted payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, money wire, and cash. Checks or money orders must be received within 5 days of booking.
- Specific policies apply for Christmas Holiday Season bookings, including a 50% non-refundable payment.
- Check-In/Check-Out
- Regular check-in time is at 2:00 PM; holiday check-in times may vary. Early check-in may be available upon request.
- Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. Late check-out options are available for an additional fee but cannot be guaranteed in advance.
- Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations must be made at least 14 days before the scheduled arrival for regular bookings and 30 days before for bookings during holidays or special events.
- Cancellations within the specified period may incur charges, including a minimum of one night's stay.
- No refunds are provided for cancellations during the Christmas Holiday Season or for early check-outs.
- Rates and Taxes
- Rates are listed per cabin, per night, and are subject to an 8.18% state tax and a 5% lodging tax on the room rate only.
- Additional fees for cleaning, security deposits, or accidental damage protection may apply.
- Conduct and Use of Premises
- All cabins and rooms are strictly non-smoking. Violation of this policy will result in a minimum cleaning fee of $200.
- Guests are expected to respect the property, other guests, and local regulations at all times during their stay.
- Liability
- The Company is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or loss of property incurred by guests during their stay. Guests are responsible for their own safety and belongings.
- Privacy and Personal Data
- Your privacy is paramount to us. We collect and use personal information (such as names, contact details, and payment information) to fulfill our commitment to providing exceptional guest services, including managing reservations, communications, and transactions. All personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available [link to your Privacy Policy]. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you also acknowledge and consent to our Privacy Policy.
- Amendments
- The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Guests will be notified of any changes.
